Review – Saving Missy

Author: Beth Morrey
Release Date: 20th February 2020
Publisher: HarperCollinsUK
Blog Tour: Random Things Tours

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I’ve got to be honest, I nearly gave up on this one. I felt like I couldn’t get into it or connect with the characters but I ended up really enjoying it.

All the characters have great personalities which developed throughout events in the book and there isn’t a character I didn’t like. Our main character, Missy can seem a bit brash but it’s totally understandable and I really enjoyed reading her story.

There are a few little twists in this book that I really wasn’t expecting which I find so rare in a contemporary fiction so this was a really pleasant addition to the story and a sign of great writing from Beth Morrey.

If you’re looking for an easy read, then I highly recommend this one – also if you love a book with an old character then this is definitely for you. Trigger warnings below.

Trigger warnings: miscarriage, abortion, loneliness, mental health issues, animal death

      1. It’s not for everyone, but I’m glad they work for me, I can read so much more because of them. 😊
